Free-Consultation@BreastCancerLaw.com If you or a family member have been diagnosed with Stage 3 or Stage 4 Breast Cancer and a health care provider:
  • failed to screen for breast cancer by not performing or recommending a
    1. clinical breast examination and
    2. a mammogram;
  • failed to follow up on patient's complaints of a lump or other abnormal changes in the breast;
  • failed to follow up on a positive clinical breast examination, mammogram or biopsy; or
  • failed to recommend appropriate treatment options for the cancer.
Breast Cancer Statistics
  • Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women touched with cancer in the U.S.
  • Approximately 211,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year.
  • Approximately 39,800 women in the U.S. will die from breast cancer this year.
  • If breast cancer is detected and treated early, the survival rate is nearly 100 percent.
Medical Malpractice and Breast Cancer

Early diagnosis through screening with breast examinations and mammograms followed by proper treatment, could substantially decrease the chances of a woman developing invasive breast cancer. Yet, an estimated 39,600 women will die in the U.S. from breast cancer this year. Too many women have their breast cancer diagnosis delayed when the physician and other health care providers in whose hands such women entrust their well-being fail to perform appropriate screening tests, fail to properly interpret test results, and fail to take necessary steps when breast cancer is suspected. And in too many cases the tragic result is the loss of treatment options and a significantly lower chance of survival.

This website is devoted to explaining how medical malpractice arises in the context of a failure by a physician or other health care provider to timely diagnose or treat breast cancer; to describing what is involved in pursuing a medical malpractice claim; and to offering a convenient and free attorney consultation to those who believe they have been the victim of medical malpractice.

Our law firm and the other law firms we work with help victims of medical malpractice nationally.
